Call To Artists

The Charlotte Art League is currently accepting works for the following events and exhibits. In most instances, members can participate at a reduced entry fee and receive a higher commission rate on sold artwork. To become a member, click HERE.   • August Exhibit: Loud and Proud

    Exhibition Dates: August 8, 2025 - August 29, 2025

    THEME
    LOUD AND PROUD. 

    Join us for Loud and Proud, a non-juried exhibit celebrating Pride, self-expression, and the vibrant voices of LGBTQIA+ artists and allies. We welcome work that uplifts themes of identity, love, community, resilience, and unapologetic joy.

    ELEGIBILITY

    All artists are invited to participate and all art forms are welcome. This is a non-juried show. All artwork must meet specifications (below) to be accepted.

    Works can be new or old. HHowever, artwork that has been exhibited at CAL within the past 12 months is not eligible. Artwork may not be for sale in any other venue for the duration of the show. 

    PLEASE BE SURE TO READ ALL SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS. CAL will not accept late drop offs or work that is not ready to be displayed. 

    ENTRY FEE (NON REFUNDABLE)
    CAL Members: First two (2) entries $15. $5 per entry after 2. Maximum 4 entries.
    Non-Members: First two (2) entries $60. $20 per entry after 2. Maximum 4 entries.

    CALENDAR

    Submission deadline: Tuesday, July 29, 2025

    Deliver accepted artwork to CAL (4237 Raleigh Street): August 1 or August 3 (1-3pm)
    Note: Artwork MUST must be properly mounted with D Rings and wired. NO sawtooth hangers.

    Opening Night Reception: Friday August 8 (6-9pm)

    Exhibition show dates: July 8 to August 29

    Pick up exhibited work: August 29 or August 31 (1-3pm)

    *Note: Artwork left beyond the scheduled pick up dates are subject to a holding fee of $5/day. Artwork left beyond 30 days will become the property of CAL.
